In the form of a Christmas Present, we here at Mercedes-Benz of Fredericksburg are happy to provide newly released details regarding new Mercedes-Benz models including specifically, the SLS AMG Black Series.
At the forefront of the 2012 LA Auto Show, the new member of the Black Series from Mercedes combines sleekness with improved performance and a lighter frame. With a 6.2-liter V8 engine, the new model improved it's horsepower up to 622 and can go from zero to sixty in just 3.5 seconds.
In addition to new features adding improved performance and speed, the new SLS AMG Black Series also made enhancements to the handling with adjustable coil over suspension, and an electronically controlled rear differential. Additionally, the vehicle is trimmed down from previous editions weighing in at 3,417 pounds, 154 pounds under the SLS AMG GT.
The SLS AMG Gullwing Black Series is Inspired by the GT3 racecar. With vented side skirts, forged alloy wheels, and flared front and back fenders on the exterior, and a sport steering wheel and lots of exposed carbon fiber, it looks the part inside and out.
